POSTER MAKING COMPETITION USING GEN-AI

The Standards Club of the Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), successfully organized a Poster Making Competition using Generative AI (Gen-AI). The event was hosted by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) of IEM, Kolkata. 

The competition aimed to blend creativity with modern technological tools, encouraging students to explore the potential of Gen-AI in poster designing while also enhancing awareness of standards, innovation, and visual communication.

Participants were required to design digital posters utilizing Gen-AI tools, reflecting creativity, originality, and alignment with the competition theme. From 18 participants, the judges shortlisted 13 students based on creativity, design relevance, and visual impact. The shortlisted students were then invited to present their posters in-person at the college, where they explained the concept, design choices, and the way Gen-AI tools were integrated into their creative process.

Quality Connect Campaign

Quiz Pedia 2025

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, IEM Kolkata, in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), successfully organized Quiz Pedia 2025, a prestigious quiz competition designed to enhance students’ knowledge of engineering standards, technical advancements, and general awareness.

• Qualifying Round:

A large number of students participated, showcasing their knowledge in electrical and electronics engineering, BIS standards, and general awareness. The top-scoring teams advanced to the final round.

• Final Round:

The finalists competed in a challenging and engaging session, answering technical and analytical questions that tested their knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and quick thinking.The competition was intense, with participants displaying impressive teamwork and strategic answering.

Tech Talk

The main motive was this event was to support the youth towards standardization awareness and to know about the process of how standardization works.
